These Terms and Conditions apply to quotations, bookings and services supplied by Wrap Your Car Ltd. They explain how a booking is formed, what each party must do, how bespoke work is approved and paid for, and the limits that apply to vehicle surfaces, materials, warranties and cancellations. Consumer statutory rights are not affected.
1 Definitions and application
"Customer" means the person, company or organisation purchasing Services. "Consumer" means an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. "Business Customer" means any Customer who is not a Consumer.
"Services" includes vehicle wrapping, colour change wrapping, commercial graphics, sign writing, printed graphics, paint protection film, design and branding, vinyl removal, dechroming, motorbike wrapping, furniture and interior wrapping, printing, preparation and any related work described in a Quotation.
These Terms apply together with the accepted quotation, approved artwork and any written variation agreed by both parties. If there is a conflict, a specific written term in the quotation takes priority over these general Terms.
2 Quotations and formation of the contract
A quotation is valid for 30 days from its date unless it states otherwise. After expiry, prices and availability may be revised.
A quotation is based on the information, photographs, measurements, artwork and access details available when it is prepared. Extra work arising from inaccurate or incomplete information, a changed scope or an unsuitable surface will be quoted or agreed before it is undertaken where reasonably practicable.
A contract is formed when the Customer accepts the quotation in writing or through an electronic approval method and Wrap Your Car Ltd confirms the booking or begins authorised work. By accepting the quotation, the Customer confirms that they have had access to and accept the version of these Terms identified in the quotation.
3 Prices and payment
Unless the quotation states otherwise, 50% of the total price is payable before materials are ordered or production begins. The remaining balance is payable in cleared funds before the vehicle, product or completed work is collected or released.
Wrap Your Car Ltd is not registered for VAT. No VAT will be added unless the Customer is notified otherwise in a later quotation or invoice.
Work, material ordering, production, installation and release of the vehicle may be suspended while any amount is overdue. The Customer remains responsible for agreed costs already incurred.
For Business Customers, Wrap Your Car Ltd reserves the right to claim statutory interest, fixed compensation and reasonable recovery costs on overdue commercial debts where permitted by law.
4 Booking changes and cancellation
A Customer may request one change of booking date without a rescheduling charge by giving at least 14 clear days notice. The new date is subject to availability. A later request, a second request or failure to attend may be treated as a cancellation.
If the Customer cancels before bespoke materials have been ordered and before production or other substantive work has begun, the following maximum deductions from the upfront payment apply. Any amount described as refundable is calculated from the upfront payment, not from the total contract price.
| Notice before booked start | Refund of upfront payment | Maximum amount retained |
|---|---|---|
| 30 days or more | 75% | 25% |
| 14 to 29 days | 50% | 50% |
| 8 to 13 days | 25% | 75% |
| 7 days or fewer | 0% | 100% |
Once bespoke materials have been ordered, printing or production has begun, or substantive design or preparation work has been carried out, the upfront payment is non refundable for a Business Customer. Additional completed work or committed costs exceeding the upfront payment may also be charged.
For a Consumer, any cancellation deduction will be limited to losses and costs that Wrap Your Car Ltd is legally entitled to recover. If the actual recoverable loss is lower than the table amount, the lower amount will apply. Nothing in this clause removes a Consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If Wrap Your Car Ltd cancels and cannot offer a reasonable alternative date, amounts paid for Services not supplied will be refunded. This does not affect work or goods already properly supplied and accepted.
5 Consumer distance contracts and early commencement
Where a Consumer contract is concluded entirely at a distance, any applicable statutory cancellation right will be honoured. Bespoke or personalised goods may be excluded from that right where the law permits.
If a Consumer asks for Services to begin during a statutory cancellation period, the Consumer must expressly request early commencement. If the Consumer later cancels while entitled to do so, they must pay a proportionate amount for Services supplied and authorised costs incurred up to cancellation. Once a service has been fully performed following the required request and acknowledgement, the cancellation right may be lost as provided by law.
6 Artwork created by Wrap Your Car Ltd
Unless the quotation states otherwise, the design price includes up to three rounds of reasonable amendments to the selected concept. Further revisions, a return to an earlier concept or a new creative direction may be charged additionally.
Before production, the Customer must approve the final design in writing, by signing the proof or by sending clear approval by email or message. Approval confirms the layout, spelling, contact details, colours, positioning and content shown in the proof.
Changes requested after approval may involve additional design, material and production charges and may change the completion date.
7 Customer supplied artwork
Artwork identified by the Customer as print ready may be produced without an additional proof or technical inspection. Wrap Your Car Ltd is not responsible for errors or limitations within that file, including format, resolution, scale, dimensions, bleed, spelling, content, colour setup or image quality.
At the Customer's request, Wrap Your Car Ltd may offer a test print, preflight check, adaptation or production proof. Availability, scope and price will be agreed individually. Unless agreed in writing, carrying out one limited check does not transfer responsibility for the remainder of the supplied file.
The Customer warrants that it owns or has permission to use all supplied artwork, logos, fonts, photographs, trademarks and other content, and that production will not infringe another person's rights.
8 Design rights and source files
After full payment, the Customer receives a non exclusive right to use the approved final design for the purpose for which it was commissioned. Editable source files, templates, working files, unused concepts and production methods remain the property of Wrap Your Car Ltd unless their transfer is expressly included in the quotation.
No licence or right is granted in any design or file until all related invoices have been paid in full.
9 Colour and visual appearance
Colours displayed on monitors, phones and office printers are not reliable production standards. A HEX, RGB, CMYK, Pantone or RAL reference, paint colour, existing wrap and solid colour vinyl may reproduce differently because of material, ink, laminate, finish, substrate, lighting and production conditions.
An exact match to a screen, colour code or different material is not guaranteed unless a physical production sample and an agreed tolerance have been approved in writing. Even after approval, reasonable batch, finish and lighting variations may occur.
Metallic, pearlescent, textured and directional films may change appearance with viewing angle and panel orientation. Printed panels may require joins and controlled overlap.
10 Vehicle information and surface condition
Before work begins, the Customer must disclose all known previous paint repairs, resprays, corrosion, body filler, stone chips, lacquer failure, accident damage, previous wraps, paint protection film, ceramic coatings and other surface treatments or defects.
Wrap Your Car Ltd may photograph the vehicle on arrival for internal condition records. These photographs do not by themselves authorise marketing use.
A wrap is not a repair process. It may not hide dents, scratches, corrosion, poor paintwork or surface texture and may make some defects more visible. Wrap Your Car Ltd may refuse, limit or pause work where the surface is unsuitable.
11 Customer preparation and access
The vehicle must arrive clean, dry and free from mud, tar, excessive contamination, wax, silicone, dressing and recently applied coatings. Personal belongings and valuables must be removed from work areas.
Additional washing, adhesive removal, decontamination, dismantling or preparation not included in the quotation may be charged and may delay completion.
All vehicle wrapping work is carried out at the Wrap Your Car Ltd workshop unless expressly agreed otherwise. The Customer is responsible for delivery and collection.
12 Removal and refitting of components
Wrap Your Car Ltd may remove and refit handles, trims, badges, lights, number plates and other components where reasonably required for the agreed installation.
The Customer accepts the inherent risk of failure in aged, brittle, corroded, bonded, previously repaired or previously damaged components. Wrap Your Car Ltd is not responsible for failure caused by that pre existing condition, but remains responsible for damage caused by a failure to use reasonable care and skill.
Single use clips, fixings, adhesives or replacement badges may be charged where reasonably necessary and not included in the quotation.
13 Installation methods and limitations
The Customer accepts that seams, joins, overlaps, relief cuts, inlays and separate pieces may be required because of roll width, panel size, recess depth, compound curves, access, durability or the design. Their use does not by itself constitute defective workmanship.
Wrap edges and coverage will follow the scope stated in the quotation. Door shuts, engine bays, undersides, hidden faces, roofs, internal edges and other areas are excluded unless expressly included.
Minor positioning variation is normal when a two dimensional design is applied to a three dimensional vehicle or hand built body. Safety markings, legal identifiers, lights, sensors and functional openings must remain usable and visible where required.
14 Special substrates
Raw or anodised aluminium, powder coating, textured plastics, oxidised metal, sealant, silicone, rubber, deep recesses, sharp edges, joints, fixings, corroded areas and non original finishes may have reduced adhesion or durability.
These surfaces are normally excluded from the standard workmanship warranty unless the quotation expressly includes them. If Wrap Your Car Ltd identifies a material risk before installation, any shortened warranty or exclusion will be explained and recorded before work begins.
15 Paint and removal risk
Wrap Your Car Ltd is not responsible for paint, lacquer, filler or coating failure caused by previous repair, respray, corrosion, poor preparation, inadequate adhesion, hidden defects or a condition not disclosed by the Customer.
Removal of old film or adhesive can expose or detach weak paint. If an unexpected risk becomes apparent, work may be paused so that the Customer can authorise additional work, accept the risk or arrange collection.
Removal of vinyl or paint protection film should be carried out by a competent professional. No representation is made that film will protect against every form of impact, corrosion, weathering or paint damage.
16 Completion dates and unforeseen work
Start and completion dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing. Timing may change because of the condition of the vehicle, additional preparation, artwork changes, material availability, curing requirements, equipment failure or circumstances outside reasonable control.
Wrap Your Car Ltd will notify the Customer of a material delay as soon as reasonably practicable. It is not responsible for loss of use, missed bookings, hire charges or business interruption caused by a reasonable or unavoidable delay, subject always to rights that cannot legally be excluded.
17 Workmanship warranty
The standard workmanship warranty is 12 months from completion. It covers proven installation defects such as lifting, peeling or failure caused by installation workmanship.
The warranty period may be shortened or excluded for identified surface defects, older or repaired paint, corrosion, special substrates or other conditions that increase failure risk. Any such limitation must be communicated and agreed before installation begins.
Manufacturer material warranties, where available, are separate and subject to the manufacturer's own terms, approved applications, durability zones, orientation and maintenance requirements.
The workmanship warranty does not cover accidental damage, impact, stone chips, abrasion, vandalism, pressure washing damage, chemicals, fuel spills, misuse, neglect, unauthorised repair, third party work, continued use after a defect becomes apparent, or failure caused by the underlying surface.
A warranty concern must be reported promptly with photographs and reasonable details. The vehicle or item must be returned to the Wrap Your Car Ltd workshop for inspection and any approved remedial work. No reimbursement is due for third party repairs undertaken without prior written approval.
18 Aftercare
The Customer must follow the aftercare guidance supplied for the relevant material. Unless advised otherwise, the Customer should avoid washing immediately after installation, aggressive chemicals, automated brush washes and directing a pressure washer at film edges.
Failure to follow aftercare instructions may reduce performance and invalidate the workmanship warranty to the extent that the failure caused or contributed to the problem.
19 Collection and storage
The Customer must collect the vehicle or completed item at the agreed time and after all sums due have been paid.
If collection does not take place within 24 hours after notification that the work is ready, a storage charge of £25 for each started day may be applied. No charge will apply where the delay is caused by Wrap Your Car Ltd or where a different collection arrangement has been agreed in writing.
The Customer remains responsible for insurance and for arranging prompt collection. Wrap Your Car Ltd will take reasonable care of property held at the workshop.
20 Photography and marketing
Wrap Your Car Ltd may photograph or film work in progress and completed work for portfolio, website, social media and promotional use unless the Customer objects before work begins.
Where reasonably requested, registration numbers or identifying details will be obscured. Internal condition photographs may still be retained for contract, warranty and dispute records.
21 Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
For Consumers, Wrap Your Car Ltd is responsible for foreseeable loss caused by its breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill, but not for business losses arising from a Consumer contract.
For Business Customers, subject to the first paragraph of this clause, Wrap Your Car Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, contract, booking or vehicle use. Its total aggregate liability arising from a contract will not exceed the total price paid or payable under that contract, except where a higher limit is required by law.
22 Complaints and resolution
A complaint should be sent promptly to info@wrapyourcar.co.uk with the quotation or invoice number, a description of the issue and supporting photographs where relevant.
The Customer must give Wrap Your Car Ltd a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, remedy defective work before arranging repair by another supplier or seeking recovery of those costs.
This clause does not restrict a Consumer's statutory remedies.
23 Data protection
Wrap Your Car Ltd may process contact details, vehicle details, registration numbers, photographs, correspondence and payment records to quote, perform and administer Services, handle warranties, meet legal obligations and protect legitimate business interests.
Further information about personal data use, retention and individual rights is provided in the Wrap Your Car Ltd Privacy Policy.
24 General terms
No change to the agreed scope or these Terms is effective unless recorded in writing by authorised representatives of both parties.
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it.
A person who is not a party to the contract has no right to enforce it, except where the law provides otherwise.
Neither party is liable for a failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, but payment remains due for Services and bespoke goods already properly supplied or committed.
25 Governing law
These Terms and each contract are governed by the law of England and Wales.
A Business Customer agrees that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. A Consumer may bring proceedings in any court available to them under mandatory consumer law.
